Throughout my career, my work has been animated by making sense of data - understanding not only what the data shows, but also how it relates to the business. I love not only uncovering insights, but in connecting those to the business and business strategy, making the data meaningful and valuable. Here's a little about my experience and skills:

  • I'm very comfortable going deep in technology and well versed in Excel, Node, Python, Java, and SQL as well as numerous frameworks and tools like Metabase and dbt.
  • I've led large, multifaceted projects, managed and expanded analytics teams, and established core data infrastructures, creating real-time charts, KPIs, and dashboards.

Constructed a model that estimated the potential impact of various investment strategies under variable assumptions on long term student achievement and college readiness. Model used to inform investment strategy for $300MM annual philanthropic portfolio.

I conducted a detailed analysis of our sales pipeline, identifying key patterns and predictions for successful bookings throughout the year, broken down by product type and fiscal quarter. My development of flexible models allowed for real-time monitoring of the sales pipeline, offering daily, weekly, and monthly insights. The result was a set of clear, easy-to-understand visualizations that guided our sales strategy and forecasting, improving our understanding of deal closure likelihoods, seasonal trends, and product-specific and regional variations.

This included segmenting customers to identify the factors affecting retention, such as geography, product type, customer size, cohort groups, and usage of multiple products. I played a key role in shaping our go-to-market strategy through strategic data analysis. My work involved analyzing potential new markets and estimating the Total Addressable Market, Serviceable Available Market, and Serviceable Obtainable Market for each product in these markets under different assumptions. This evaluation helped identify the most promising opportunities for expansion and our market entry strategy to maximize success.

College and Career Readiness

College and Career Readiness

I co-founded and led the development of a new analytics product that predicted students' readiness for college, establishing a profitable business line and forming significant strategic partnerships. Conducting an "Equity and Opportunity Audit" in collaboration with the XQ Institute, impacting over 100,000 students and utilized by the Rhode Island Department of Education. This project involved working closely with XQ leadership to develop a strategic plan and analytics for enhancing student post-secondary success.

Developed comprehensive product pricing models. By examining variations in customer churn rates and using matched cohorts to understand demand elasticity, I was able to project revenue for the product under various pricing scenarios. This analysis also included exploring the potential impact on new market entries. A key finding was the advantage of per-student pricing over a minimum price model, especially considering the market dynamics and customer size distribution, ultimately helping to maximize bookings and tailor pricing strategies effectively.
